How is appreciation calculated?
We take a basket of the theme’s sets that have a sold price both then and now, compare the totals, and annualize it (CAGR). The “$1,000 then → now” is that same basket scaled to $1,000.
Why is a recent window negative?
The LEGO after-market cooled over the last year or two, so short windows can be down even when 10-year returns are strong. We show every window so you see the full picture, not a cherry-picked one.
