LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Mario Starter Pack — The Master Your Adventure Maker Set can be used as a standalone excellent expansion with just the Starter Pack, though the Starter Pack is required for the LEGO Mario interactive figure. The Dash Pipe offers a new start mechanic distinct from the green Start Pipe in the Starter Pack.

Other LEGO Super Mario Expansion Packs — The Customization Machine works nicely and adds a fun element to play that some of the other Expansion Packs struggle with. It's certainly one of the better sets in this new wave.
