modern LEGO Star Wars sets — While pioneering for 1999 and a solid design for its time, modern sets surpass it with better detail, smaller versatile pieces, integrated joints for transformation, and superior durability and clamping.

Qui-Gon and Darth Maul set — Qui-Gon and Darth Maul set is much more fun for the same price.

Obi-Wan and Luke with Landspeeder — Obi-Wan and Luke set is much more fun for the same price.

Episode III Droid Fighter (with Anakin's Ep3 JSF) — The Ep3 version is very similar to this and equally disappointing, though at least it has weapons. The two newest versions are much better and can transform without taking the head off.
