However, both are highly non-repetitive sets with excellent build experiences and both represent large D2C (Direct to Consumer) sets based on movies with similar trifecta appeal (fun to build, look at, and play with).

71043 Hogwarts Castle — Comparable in base construction techniques as both designed by Justin Ramsden. Both employ Technic bricks and plates in similar ways. Apocalypseburg concludes with numerous smaller platforms with attention shifting frequently, unlike typical large sets which unite major sections or attach small details at top.

Ninjago City — Ninjago City cost the same when it came out but has ~50% more pieces. Ninjago City has more value, but LEGO Movie set presents competitively if you like both designs.
