80112 Auspicious Dragon — The Sea Serpent design is very reminiscent of 80112 Auspicious Dragon and many of the design elements are actually reminiscent of East Asian dragons. However, Sea Serpent is described as 'slightly smaller than the Auspicious Dragon.'

Classic LEGO Dragon (1993) — The Medieval Dragon is 'a love letter to the Classic LEGO Dragon, complete with matching colours!' demonstrating how LEGO design has progressed over 30+ years.

31120 Medieval Castle — The scale of the Dragon is just perfect as it serves as a formidable threat to the Black Falcons. The Medieval Castle had a small brick-built dragon included, 'but maybe that was the big Dragon's whelp!'

Medieval Dragon (main build) — Both valid, but main Dragon build offers better initial value due to pre-sorted bags for faster building. Recommend building Dragon first, then sorting pieces to build Phoenix. If you prefer Phoenix, still suggested to build Dragon first for efficiency and value verification.
