Original Breez — Breez 2.0 is far more advanced with 13 points of articulation (up from 9) and the new ball-and-socket system, plus a large amount of new or recolored pieces. Weapon holding is comparable to the original design.

Other 2011 Hero Factory sets (Stormer, Surge, Furno, etc.) — Breez 2.0 is solid but not uniquely exceptional. Unless lime armour or stealth headgear appeal to you, the reviewer recommends buying other Heroes first, not because Breez is bad, but because other Heroes are even better.

BIONICLE small canister sets — Breez 2.0 build is more repetitive than small BIONICLE sets, involving primarily ball-and-socket connections with fewer unique techniques.

BIONICLE Stars combiner — The Breez + Stormer combiner 'looks far more impressive than some of BIONICLE's most recent combiners, especially the Stars combiner.'
