Original Preston Stormer (BIONICLE) — Stormer 2.0 is almost indistinguishable from the original in the same pose, but loses the original's strong character due to standardized parts and lacks the original's buzz-saw weapon.

Other 2011 Heroes — Stormer has better design due to symmetrical armor and proportions closer to human limbs, avoiding the 'gorilla arms' appearance of some other Heroes.

Stars and original Heroes — Stormer 2.0 offers far better quantity and usefulness of parts, articulation, detail, and recolored BIONICLE parts, yet comes at presumably the same price.

Original Stormer (2010 version) — Stormer 2.0 offers dramatically improved poseability and weapon articulation. The 2010 version's weapon could barely move beyond a single angle, while 2.0 allows full rotational movement, positioning the weapon across the body or even behind for shooting positions. 2.0 also features new articulation points and is generally recommended as the superior version.
