21103 The DeLorean Time Machine 43 — 10300 is undeniably superior. The 2013 21103 hasn't aged well and is widely considered a poor rendition of the iconic vehicle. The new model's 1,896 pieces (1,503 more than 21103) and increased scale/budget deliver an accurate and authentic representation. The bonnet design is the biggest improvement – 21103 was blocky with staggered building technique that didn't look accurate, whereas 10300 has captured the unmistakable sleek angles of the DeLorean.

DeLorean Time Machine (21103) 43 — The newer 10300 is a significant upgrade with much more detail and superior minifigures. The original 21103 minifigures lack leg printing compared to the new set's extensive detailing.

1989 Batmobile (76139) — The reviewer wished the BTTF Time Machine had a display stand similar in quality to the Batmobile's to properly showcase the minifigures and plaque together.
