Introducing BrickScore: Every Trusted LEGO Review, One Honest Score

Hey everyone, Today we're launching one the biggest features we've ever built: BrickScore . Think Metacritic, but for LEGO. What Is BrickScore? We analyzed more than 120,000 reviews and ratings from some of the most trusted voices in the hobby: LEGO YouTube creators Brickset Rebrickable Independent LEGO blogs More than 100,000 verified buyer reviews from LEGO.com Every expert review is analyzed in depth, converted to a standardized 0-100 scale, weighted by the source's track record, and combined into a single BrickScore for each set. At launch, BrickScore covers: 1,900+ sets 82 LEGO themes Sets released from 1979 through today More Than Just a Number Every scored set includes a written verdict explaining: What reviewers loved What reviewers criticized Standout minifigures and parts Value for money Areas where experts disagreed We also display owner ratings from real buyers, always shown separately from the expert score. When critics give a set a 67 but owners rate it 4.9 stars, you'll see both. That disagreement is often the most interesting part of the story. The BrickScore Tiers 🏆 Must-Have (90+) Only 32 sets in the entire catalog currently qualify. A set must have reviews from at least three independent expert sources before it can earn this tier. ⭐ Highly Recommended (80-89) 👍 Recommended (70-79) ⚠️ Mixed Reviews (60-69) ❌ Skip It (Below 60) Yes, we publish these too. More than 150 sets currently fall into the Skip It category. A review system that never says "skip it" isn't really reviewing anything. The Rules We Won't Break A few things are non-negotiable: No score is ever generated from a single review Expert reviews and owner ratings are never blended together Scores are calculated from the data with no manual adjustments No pay-for-placement No sponsored rankings The full methodology is public. The complete review library is available to everyone for free. Subscribers additionally receive our Max Profit Opinion for every reviewed set: BrickPicker's investment perspective based on our own analysis of eBay sold listings, BrickLink pricing, market trends, and retirement modeling. One More Thing This part matters to us. Every expert verdict displayed on BrickScore is credited by name and linked directly to the original review.
