TRU 20% OFF COUPON...THEIR USUAL TRICKS, OR POSSIBLY A TREAT?

hello fellow brickpickers, I received the TRU 20% coupon in my email a couple of days ago. I am just wondering if anyone else is using theirs, and if so, on what? I try to maximize savings as much as possible with coupons, but this latest one seems a bit difficult to get a good deal with. I tried using it online on either a super star destroyer or an R2-D2. either one will also earn you a free y-wing. add on free shipping and it's a pretty sweet deal, right? well, when I get to the checkout the promo code won't work (SAVE20) because both items are all of a sudden labeled as "red hot deals", which do not qualify. neither was labeled as such on their respective main ordering screens (correct me if I am wrong on this). I am not sure why they are considered as "red hot", since the star destroyer is at normal retail ($399) and the R2-D2 is listed at $29 ABOVE normal retail (listed at $209). anyway, I went to my brick & mortar this morning with a printed version of the coupon to see if anything stood out that would be a decent bargain. alas, almost everything worth trying to obtain was either labeled as "red hot deals" or tied into another shoddy promotion that would make them ineligible for use with the coupon. the dolphin cruiser and family home were two I considered, but but both were "red hot". of course, the usual TRU markup also negated a few possibilities. my question is this...what are you fine people using this coupon on? how have you gotten it to work with your bottom line in mind? how have any of you maximized savings with this coupon? thanks for sharing.
