How to buy everything in LEGO store at 30% off!

I am not sure what discounts employees get at the LEGO stores or at LEGO, but for those of us who were not fortunate enough to get a job with them here are couple of ways to get 30% off from the LEGO store. One way is to volunteer at a store grand opening. The other is to participate as an attendee to conventions like BrickCon. As a volunteer there is actual work involved, but you also get the exclusive grand opening set. The better alternative in my opinion is to be an attendee at one of your local convention. Even though there is a cost to it let me explain why it is better. Let's use BrickCon - www.brickcon.org for example. It cost $55 to attend, however you get full access to the entire public as well as the private attendee only section for all 4 days. You will more than recover the $55 in fees when you purchase all your LEGO at 30% off (even the exclusives) at the local LEGO store. You will still get your VIP points and any freebies they are giving away at the time. There is a cap, however on how much you can buy and I believe it will be $1000 this year. It was $3000 last year. There is more, as an attendee at BrickCon they have lots of games you can sign up for that requires the use of LEGO set(s). New sets are provided for these games and after you are done you get to keep them so free LEGO! BrickCon also has free raffles for LEGO sets every evening for all attendees present so more free LEGO. This does not even include the admission to see all the display (before the public) and all the cool things you will learn from other experience builders. I know it sounds like an advertisement for BrickCon and it is, I am not going to lie. I just want to use this opportunity to share with everyone on how to purchase LEGO exclusives at a discount and at the same time share my experience with people who have never been BrickCon or any other convention.
