Hypothetical: a LEGO shortage over Christmas

We all know the US-China tariff "wars" have had unexpected and far-reaching impacts to various agriculture, industrial, and consumer sectors....some we consumers may not "feel" till later. Let's have a group think discussion/speculation on the possibility of an unexpected LEGO shortage during this Christmas season (After Black friday). So in this scenario, mainstream retailers: Walmart, Target, and Amazon (etc) run out stock of current LEGO sets...bare shelves for the month of December. What would this mean...for resellers here? I know we're all thinking "BONANZA!", but I'm curious to see if folks speculate some unexpected consequences (good and bad)?
