B&N Make and Take event

Saturday (at least in the US) is the event for kids to make a mini-Emmet house to keep. Its limited to first 100 participants and B&N is not limiting online reservations (just an email grab I guess) Anyway...do folks w/ experience on something like this recommend getting there an hour or more early (my boy is excited and i don't want him to get disappointed if he doesn't get one)...I'm not a fan of lining up for these types of things...but at leat there will be plenty of reading material handy?? Also I guess I can always pick up some HP Bricktober sets.
