To build or not to build

Hi there, Figured this would be the best forum for my topic. I buy the majority of my Lego from eBay, which I keep as an investment, some of my best turnovers have been in the CMF range (in particular the animal mascots). However, I have recently turned my attention to full-sized Lego sets BNIB mostly in the Starwars range (these sets seem to have the greatest value increases due to the nostalgia factor). I have just ordered the Resistance Troop carrier (75140) from eBay at £40, just 2/3 of the RRP. I know though that as soon as it arrives I will have the urge to open it and build it... If I did so, then I would definitely keep the box, manual and plastic bags in pristine condition, but how badly will this affect the value? Any thoughts...?
