Your advice on selling and buying LEGO

What is your advice on selling and buying LEGO? I really want to buy lego star wars, for mostly building, and display, maybe some playing with too, but as you all know, lego can be pricey, I have looked at all the cheap price finders, or many different deals, but its not really the stuff I want, I dont have much money, so instead of looking at a millennium falcon or something, I think I will go with battle packs more, the thing is though, alot of them are retired, and I only find them used, which brings me back to my first point, "I really want to buy lego star wars, for mostly building," and "I really want to buy lego star wars, for mostly... display" depending on the condition, it could be missing pieces or look bad on display. I really want lego, and deals seem great, but it just does not work out for me, if anyone has any advice, please share it with me.
