Retired sets built from replacements

tldr: do i buy only used sets 100% original, sets built exactly from non-original parts, or only NISB, screw the price? I'm looking at acquiring a couple of the retired modulars for my own collection, specifically Green Grocer and Cafe Corner. Since I cringe at the NISB price, I'm completely good with used. What I'm not sure of, is if I'm ok with used built from replacement parts. And I think I'm looking at that as an investor. Will it be worth more/less, does it matter to others, if it is a used, original set, or a set built exactly from the parts list. Can someone with more of a clue weigh in? I don't know if I'll ever sell these sets once I acquire them, and I had no problem contemplating building them myself (but haven't the time). Appreciate the input!
