Legoland purchase tracking?

Hi Guys Got a question for you visitors to Legoland, I recently visited the new park in Florida and my family and I all bought annual passes (not anal passes as my auto correct would suggest). This was the first time I ever visited a LL park and it was a great trip apart from when I made purchases from the large store as you walk in. I made four modular purchases from them and soon as I picked up a second box the manager started glaring at me, I said to my wife he was watching me and she said no but I knew he was. The girl assisting me just kept trying to sell me large items like death stars and such getting all giddy as I presume she is getting a cut of my sale. So I get to the register and the manager just stands there talking to the sales assistant and I use my annual pass as it allows me 10% off retail. Just as I am about to pay he hands me a two sheet document basically explaining that pass holders buying for reselling on eBay and such places would have there passes removed. I was a little pissed they would treat me like this as I was with the family and we bought other items for the little ones in the store but I guess end of the day they figured out what I had in mind even if I am holding onto the boxes for a few years to come although I am certainly not going to flip what I bought onto eBay! The 10% off is a nice nice little perk, do you guys know if they track your purchases on your annual pass and has anyone been banned for buying before? I have three passes so I guess we can buy stuff under each pass unless they look at the household purchases? Worst case I could buy without using my pass for the discount so its not tracked.
