Value increase after Xmas frenzy

As I am not a lego investing and selling veteran and started the game last December I was wondering if after 2014's Xmas frenzy generally sets will get a value kick in the right direction? So is it better for me to sit out the frenzy and sell my mostly fresh sets after that period? Curious about the veterans's experiences.
