Collapse of the US Dollar and Lego investing

Hey guys and girls, First off if I need to move this to "Odds and Ends" please do so. I feel this has a very direct impact on investing and is not random chit chat so I am posting it here but feel free to disagree. What are your thoughts (and has your investing been influenced) by the inevitable shift out of the US dollar as the global currency of choice? Economists say it is possible that this will be happening in 1-5 years (and nearly all say it WILL be happening as the dollar continues to erode quickly). When this does happen people's purchasing power, especially those of us in the USA, will plummet as much as 80% and inflation will skyrocket. The dollar right now is bolstered by other nations' demand for it. When they leave the dollar we are royally screwed. The US is printing absurd amounts of paper money to falsely boost its financial standing (look at today's stock market--it is COMPLETELY artificially high by government intervention ie quantitative easing) but it cannot print forever and a correction is inevitable. Stakeholders in our debt are already selling and pulling out (think China and the large sell off it did not too long ago in US debt). China is also the biggest voice in promoting a new world currency. One thing to mention is that the fake recovery/bail out from several years ago cannot and will not continue in future recessions. Don't think that when the recession hits we will solve it. Honestly, we did not solve or recover from even the first recession of 2008. We merely made it worse and created a catastrophic timing delay. If your credit card bill is due and you choose not to pay it have you solved the problem? No, you are creating a day when massive correction will hurt even more. It is ironic that while the storm clouds are brewing we are investing in boxes of plastic that will have little to no value when things explode. I know I sound like a fanatic but I really encourage you guys to stay informed of the times. You won't get good coverage from mainstream media. USAwatchdog covers the US financial situation pretty well. What are your thoughts? For me personally it has definitely impacted my investing. I still invest, but at a smaller level. (And no, this is not a scare ploy attempt to reduce the secondary lego market. If you due your due diligence you can verify that many economists believe that the dollar is on its way out. And when it does go out, getting your money out of plastic bricks will not be happening).
