Lego shop purchase limits...

Given most items are only available through the Lego shop (to me at least), what do Lego do about purchases with multiple of the same item. Do the let 2-5 slide (you could easily be buying presents for others)... At what point does it start to "look suspicious" to them? I see their Terms and Conditions state they have the right to cancel orders they think aren't for "personal use". What anecdotal evidence is there of this... any info would be appreciated.
