Technic Mini Off-Roader 42001

This is my first post, I guess you can call me a lurker. I've never invested in the Technic line but after reading some posts here over the past few weeks I'm intrigued. Was wondering if it would be beneficial to pick up a few 42001 sets for $12.99? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
