The Flipping Experiment.

Since there are couple of very lively discussions going on in several threads on long term investment vs. flipping. I decided to conduct a flipping experiment and post it here for everybody to see. Couple of ground rules this is not supposed to be a thread of proving somebody wrong, rather it is a fun and educational thread where a newbie shows what he is doing and experienced folks chime in and point various ways of what I'm doing wrong. At the end of the day we newbies have better appreciation of what is involved and experienced folks feel good about themselves because they shared knowledge. :) . So here's what I did. Purchased(all prices include sales tax paid): 4-70400 for 8.09 at TRU 50% off sale. 4-75000 for 10.8 at Target 3-75001 for 10.55 at Target as well. The idea is that I want to sell minifigures keep the profit and sell bricks at the later date. TRU return policy is 30 days Target is 90 days, and I'm selling minifigs on ebay at buy it now prices as a single auction with multiple items for round one. Let's have an honor system and not buy those items from me :) . The immediate risk I'm running is if somebody buys all 4 of the same knight for example and I have open up four boxes. I realize that but for the sake of illustration we'll keep the format as is for round one of auctions. Link to the auctions
