Lego Grading

Noticed some people are grading their Legos with AFA. I saw some polybags being graded, is this stupid or what? Because if you open it, then you have to grade the minifigure again? So Now we're buying the packaging. So For $50, I can buy 5 more Captain America sets. I know none of you guys are falling for this, but I just wanted to throw it out there. I hope this is not the future for Lego collecting/investing.
