At what percentage off MSRP is the key

Ok so I have been checking local stores for summer clearances and there are a few sets in the 50% off range. There are many sets that I would defiantly pick up at that percent off because I know they will offer good return. The question is at what percent will you always win? (i know always is a strong word) The bottom line is every set will always have a value. If there were Cars sets or Prince of Persia at 75% off retail they are still money makes just in parts. So what percent would you jump on any set?
