How do you calculate how to sell a set?

Okay, so lets say you buy 3 Helm's Deep at $120, 3 at $90, and 3 at $60. Do you calculate the average? Which in this overly simplified idea comes to $90 a piece. Or do you sell them as though they were all completely unrelated, and what you paid for each individually? I average mine out, but I could see working with it the other way.
