Does box art affect a sets success?

I am starting to think box art has a huge role in the success of a set. What are some of your favorites? Mine are the vw bus, New camel plane, palace cinema, and all the Christmas village. I would buy the camel and the bus just for the beautiful box art! Worst? bionicle...hero factory brain....temple of light...
