packaging box question

Hello all, i am new in investing Lego, but I have been Lego fan since i was a kid, I just wondering if whenever you guys order stuff over the net and turn out the packaging not perfect, is this really matter? I have been buying stuff from Target but i never receive a perfect packaging. Always has something not right, like dented box etc.. Do you guys still keep the stuff if the package is not perfect? Thanks.
