Tips for the Canadian investor?

So after looking at all the crazy deals you guys get in the States, I'm starting to think Canadian investors are going to have a tough time considering our MSRP is about 20-30% more than American prices for most sets, our sales taxes are a little higher (my tax is 13%), and it's uncommon to see great clearance deals! I'm wondering how other Canadian investors are doing, and how you overcome the these obstacles!!!!
