Question on open box investing

I recently purchased a open box but otherwise new in bags fire brigade 10197 for $103 and super star destroyer 10221 for $305, my question is since I don't particularly care for these sets for myself and just assume sell them later on after EOL, will the prices I paid make up for them being open boxes? I guess my main question is at what price will buying an open set still pan out to profits later on? If they are not the best of investments, should I just return them and wait for a reasonable price on these sets later on?
