Determine Purchase price on a varied Lot

I have a question I want to pose to the community here. How do you go about determining the purchase price on a particular set when you bought a lot from someone that includes a number of different sets? For instance, let's say I found a craigslist posting for a bunch of sealed box sets from Prince of Persia and Ninjago themes. I pay $100 for what would have retailed at say $150. How do I allocate that $100 to the individual sets when I enter their pruchase price into my Brickfolio? The most straight forward way seems to be to determine the ratio of each set's MSRP to the total MSRP of $150 and apply that ratio to the total of $100 I paid. However, that might hurt my overall investment results if I only compare this generated purchase price to the price I sell these sets at. The Ninjago set will probably appreciate very well, but the Prince of Persia set is not likely to. In fact, the Prince of Persia set is already worth less than retail. Another idea I have is that I could look at the current average purchase price for the sets and use that to determine the ratio to apply a purchase price to instead of the MSRP. Yet again we have a trade off here because Ninjago sets are still being produced and some have negative CAGR, but those that have retired have seen very positive CAGR's. Has anyone else given this much thought and have ideas for how to apply a purchase price to sets you bought in a lot with a number of other different sets through a private party transaction?
