7939 and 7938 Near Retirement??

With the New Passenger and Cargo Train out in the wild these sets (IMO) have a very limited shelf life left. Are the new ones better, perhaps. But that is not the question to be asking. If you can find a discount, can you make mad Lego cash on the retireing sets? That my Lego friends is the question worth asking. Lego is nearly sold out of both. We have seen sets go from sold out directly to retirement. I don't see a lot of business sense in keeping the old stock around for TLG. For once Toys R Us does not have them in stock online. BTW Walmart online still has both (7939 - 7938) in stock slightly less than retail +TAX...at those prices not a great deal I do expect some appreciation from the Train collectors late to the game. Probably not a double from current retail prices. However if you were able to acquire your stock any of the times when they were on sale you should get a solid double 7939 (120 - 240.00), 7938 (85 - 170) First price represents where I have seen them discounted too...second price is where I expect them to end up. I might be underesstimating a little. Not sure yet.
